Preparation
0.10 M Acidified Ferric Nitrate
- Add cautiously 40 mL of colorless, reagent-grade concentrated nitric acid to 400 mL of distilled water contained in a 1-litre volumetric flask. If the acid is colored, bubble nitrogen or air through it, before diluting, until the brown color has entirely disappeared.
- Dissolve 40.0 g of reagent-grade ferric nitrate, in the diluted acid; dilute to 1 litre with distilled water and mix.
