Sulfuric/Dichromate Cleaning Reagent

  1. Weigh about 30 g of sodium or potassium dichromate.
  2. Add, while stirring, to 1 1itre of concentrated sulfuric acid.

Note: Excess dichromate will separate from the liquid
as chromium trioxide. To prevent clogging buret or
pipet tips with the crystals while cleaning, decant the
clear cleaning solution before using.
